The biggest program yet, centred around the theme Past is Present is Future is Always, features more than 80 authors participating in more than 70 sessions across five days.
The festival from May 28 - June 3 includes book launches, author talks, a literary cruise, Writing Up Stream - writers workshops led by bestselling, award-winning published authors and experts from the publishing industry, a family fun day, an Evening with Indira Nadoo, market stalls and The Dip - a new program offering fun and accessible sessions in a giant marquee, Late Night Lit - an evening of the spoken word; poetry, literary readings and other surprises, Story Club - amazing Australians from all walks of life telling a true, personal story around the theme 'If I could turn back time'.
Among the presentations over the weekend will be Back from the Abyss featuring writers Ben McKelvey, Craig Semple, Gregory P Smith. Moderator: Ashley Kalagian Blunt. The three speakers have all at one time hit rock bottom, but managed to build something positive from the rubble.
The festival will be held at venues in and around Unima on the NSW Central Coast.
Tickets are on sale and vary from free and low cost to $160 for a weekend pass to the full program.
