Thousands of cyclists are expected to turn out for this year's Brisbane Cycling Festival.
Taking place at the Brisbane Showgrounds and neighbouring King Street, the annual event has become one of the biggest on the Queensland calendar, attracting 43,000 people last year.
Festival director Aaron Flanagan said the event offered a chance for everyone - from families and first-timers to recreational athletes and professional racers, to get involved.
"With the road to Brisbane's 2032 Olympics and Paralympics well and truly sealed, we are thrilled to bring this colourful and inclusive festival back... to provide pathways for elite athletes and the opportunity for all to get involved in the sport," he said.
The festival hosts four key events - the AusCycling Track National Championships, the Oceania Combined Cycling Championships, Festival Village and Active Lifestyle Expo and the Australian Unity Tour de Brisbane.
While the Track and Oceania championships are elite level spectator events, the Tour de Brisbane (taking place on April 2) offers a chance for riders of all abilities and even families to participate, with distances to challenge a wide variety of cyclists.
The Active Lifestyle Expo will offer a range of outdoor activities, including a chance for kids to learn cycling and safety skills and a bike obstacle course.
Visitors to Festival Village will be able to enjoy a variety of entertainment, great food, wine and craft beers.
